Founder & Principal Consultant, EthiCall360
Dr Ifeanyi Ofunne is a medical doctor, medico-legal and ethics consultant, clinical governance specialist, educator and researcher whose professional work sits at the intersection of clinical medicine, law, ethics and healthcare governance.
He currently serves as the inaugural Chief Medical Officer: Legal Support Services in the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS), Namibia, a role established to strengthen the interface between clinical practice, medico-legal risk, patient safety, professional accountability and legal support within the public health system.
Previously he has also consulted for the World Health Organization (WHO) Namibia, the Health Professions Council of Namibia and served as Chief Medical Officer for the Kharas Region of Namibia.
Dr Ofunne has postgraduate qualifications spanning clinical medicine, family medicine, health management, medical law, applied ethics and aesthetic medicine. His academic and professional trajectory reflects a deliberate interest in questions that cannot be adequately answered from a single professional discipline.
He continues to develop research interests in medical ethics, medico-legal practice, clinical governance and emerging challenges in healthcare.
His research and professional interests are particularly focused on the intersection of ethics, law and clinical medicine—including informed consent, professional accountability, clinical governance, patient safety, documentation, medical negligence and liability, ethical decision-making, healthcare regulation, and the implications of emerging technologies for clinical practice.
Dr Ofunne has spoken at national, regional and international conferences and professional forums, contributing to discussions on medical law, ethics, healthcare governance, professional practice and contemporary challenges in medicine. He has also served as an educator, CPD facilitator and professional trainer, translating complex ethical, legal and clinical concepts into practical tools for healthcare professionals and organisations.
Within Namibia and beyond, he serves as an ethics consultant to mines, healthcare and other organisations, including organisations with interests and operations in Namibia and Nigeria. His consultancy work extends beyond traditional medico-legal advice to encompass applied ethics, organisational decision-making, risk management, clinical governance and professional accountability.
In Namibia’s public health sector, Dr Ofunne has championed the first dedicated MoHSS medico-legal awareness-creation initiative, aimed at improving understanding of medico-legal risk, strengthening professional practice and promoting a culture of defensible—not merely defensive—healthcare.
The EthiCall360 Vision
EthiCall360 was born out of a desire to improve clinical governance and ethical practice.
It arose from a recognition that some of the most consequential questions faced by healthcare professionals, legal practitioners, organisations and patients do not belong neatly within one professional silo.
It arose from a recognition that some of the most consequential questions faced by healthcare professionals, legal practitioners, organisations and patients do not belong neatly within one professional silo.
EthiCall360 was created to help bridge these gaps.
It brings together expertise across medicine, medical law, applied ethics, clinical governance and risk management to provide informed, structured and context-sensitive decision support.
At its core is a simple proposition:
The right expert for the right question.
EthiCall360 is proudly and unapologetically Namibian in its outlook, grounded in the realities of the local healthcare, legal and organisational environment, while remaining ready to serve regional and international needs.
The platform seeks to contribute to a professional culture in which difficult questions are approached systematically, evidence is distinguished from assumption, and clinical, ethical and legal considerations are examined together rather than in isolation.
Alongside his medico-legal and ethics work, Dr Ofunne continues his clinical interests in aesthetic medicine and is currently developing a multi-technical aesthetic medicine facility in Namibia, bringing together clinical medicine, advanced aesthetic technologies and evidence-informed practice.
His broader professional philosophy is founded on the belief that good medicine is not only about what can be done, but also about what should be done, why it should be done, how it should be done, and how those decisions can be responsibly defended.
EthiCall360 exists to help organisations and professionals navigate precisely those questions.
Whether you are a healthcare professional, legal practitioner, patient, healthcare organisation, corporate entity or organisation facing a complex ethical, clinical, governance or medico-legal question, get in touch and let us hear from you.
